YEARS AS A PRO: 12

If I wasn't a triathlete i’d be a:

I poured concrete through 4 years of uni and might still be doing it. I packed my lunch everyday and poured Shane Warne's basement in Brighton.

Favourite thing to do out side of sport:

Pay tax. If I'm not playing sport, I'm watching it or thinking about it!

Athlete you aspire to be like:

James Hird. I'm a Bomber fan and as passionate as they come. I grew up idolising him and played for the Dingley Dingoes with the number 5 on my back. He's courageous, classy and humble. I've heard both sides of 'the story' and while a great shame, he'll always be a hero to me. Principled to the core, tough as old boots and first picked in my team!

Person you’d most like to have dinner with?

Senior Sergeant Tom Croydon. I'd love to know how he managed his emotions with all the chaos going on around him in Mt. Thomas. And I reckon he'd enjoy my cooking!

Tell us something not many would know about:

I'm very good at sudoku. I've been called 'Rainman' by a stranger on the plane. I can get too close to the page which improves my performance but looks a little intense.

Favourite genre of Music and band or singer?

80's. Nobody wants me to choose the music.

But if i had to pick, Steve Earle is hands down my favourite singer and you can throw John Prine in there too.

Career highlight:

1st Ironman 5150 Zurich (2018) - My first professional win.

 Goals for 2023 and beyond:

Win races in Australia and qualify for the IM World Championships in Hawaii.
